LeadMeet is a variation on the now tried and trusted TeachMeet format. This time we are concentrating on educational leadership.
Learn something new, be amazed, amused and enthused. This is an informal gathering of those curious about educational leadership. We are firm believers in a distributed leadership model so please let us know about leadership models and ideas trialled in your school, ask important questions or simply sign up to take part in learning conversations.
LeadMeet is a fringe event of the Scottish Government Leadership Summer School (now in its 3rd year!)
What can you do?
You can come along to chat, meet new people, or give a seven minute talk, a two minute nano presentation or lead a conversation.
♪♬ You can even sing us a leadership song. Here's one from Kevin Hodgson to get you in the mood - "You gotta listen to the kids" ♪♫
As with all Teachmeets, we are dependent on our sponsors for a venue, refreshments, wifi, equipment and other costs.
Seven minute micropresentations
Add your name and what you may talk about below. Your contribution must be about examples of educational leadership. Please don't bother if it is just about showcasing a product.

- Margaret Alcorn - How do Leaders Learn?
- Ian Stuart - Using Situational leadership in Schools.
- David Noble - Considering a Standard for Leadership
- Frank Crawford - keep it simple and straightforward
- Do Coyle - What is our greatest and most under-used learning tool, resource?
- Nick Hood (@cullaloe) - applying industry leadership experience to an education leadership role

Add your name and what you may talk about below. Your contribution must be about examples of educational leadership. Again, please don't bother if it is just about showcasing a product.

Presentation Rules
What are the rules for this LeadMeet09?
Learning conversations
At recent TeachMeets, not everybody who wished to present has been able to present. Similary, not everybody wishes to perform. So .... instead of doing a presentation, would you like to lead a conversation on a topic that's currently close to your heart? Perhaps it's an area where you have more questions than answers?
We will try to make space in the night for these learning conversations to take place.
Sign up below if you'd like to lead a conversation and tell us what it will be about.
