Thursday 29th April 2010 (Times TBA)

Location TBA - But somewhere in the North East

Please note - you do NOT have to be a hardcore programmer to get something out of this TeachMeet! You might want to know how to use a turtle programme at KS2, you might fancy doing a bit more than Flowol at KS3, you might have been running A Level Computing for 20 years. The focus is on how AND WHY we can use a variety of techniques to support Computing as a subject and keep the subject going.

If you wish to attend, you need to sign up to one of the categories below to gain entry on the night. Problems? E-mail Mark Clarkson here or find him on Twitter as @mwclarkson

What can you do?

You can come along to chat, meet new people, or give a seven minute talk, a two minute nano presentation or lead a conversation.

Seven minute micropresentations

Add your name and what you may talk about below. YOUR TALK MUST BE ABOUT EXPERIENCES OF WORK IN CLASSROOMS. Don't bother if it is just about showcasing a product.

  1. Mark Clarkson - As the one daft enough to kick the whole thing off, I'll have to say something! Will sort out what closer to the time... - @mwclarkson

  2. Kate Sim - I will come and do something about robots as long as I can find a relatively cheap way to get there - @misetak

Two minute nano presentations

Add your name and what you may talk about below. YOUR TALK MUST BE ABOUT EXPERIENCES OF WORK IN CLASSROOMS. Don't bother if it is just about showcasing a product.

  1. Steve Bunce (@stevebunce) - some around games and computing

Learning conversations

At recent TeachMeets, not everybody who wished to present has been able to present. Similarly, not everybody wishes to perform. So .... instead of doing a presentation, would you like to lead a conversation on a topic that's currently close to your heart? Perhaps it's an area where you have more questions than answers? We'll make space for these learning conversations to take place in cv services . Sign up below if you'd like to lead a conversation.
