Thursday 29th April 2010 7:00pm - 10.00pm
The North of England Institute of Mining and Mechanical Engineers, Neville Hall, NE1 1SE, Newcastle upon Tyne (opposite Weatherspoons and next door to the Model Trains)
After the great success of both TeachmeetNE events last year, we are back for a new decade! Hosted at the incredible North of England Institute of Mining and Mechanical Engineers (NEIMME), TeachmeetNE will give educators from all sectors the opportunity to meet up with like minded individuals and share the best of what is happening in their classrooms. If technology tickles your interest or independent learning intrigues you then come along and share your ideas and experiences with others. Based in the historical NEIMME, canapés and drinks will keep the creative juices flowing! Please feel free to bring along your laptop or iphone to share your resources and tweet along. There will be free wifi and we would encourage anyone who blogs or Twitters to do so during the evening so our virtual friends can join in.
If you wish to attend, you need to sign up to one of the categories below to gain entry on the night. Problems? E-mail Chris Harte here.
What can you do?
You can come along to chat, meet new people, or give a seven minute talk, a two minute nano presentation or lead a conversation.

Learning conversations
At recent TeachMeets, not everybody who wished to present has been able to present. Similary, not everybody wishes to perform. So .... instead of doing a presentation, would you like to lead a conversation on a topic that's currently close to your heart? Perhaps it's an area where you have more questions than answers? We'll make space for these learning conversations to take place. Sign up below if you'd like to lead a conversation.
