Please note that this TeachMeet has been Postponed.

ASE Science TeachMeet

Wednesday 27th April  16.30 start until 18.30

Loughborough High School,  Burton Walks,  Loughborough

What is a Teachmeet?

TeachMeet " I never knew a teach meet could be so much fun" - quote from last one.

It is an informal and enjoyable gathering of those curious about teaching and learning. Anyone can share great ideas they've trialled in their classrooms, a teaching resource they love, a great website, a classroom activity - whatever you like! You can ask questions or simply turn up to soak up all the great ideas and enthusiasm.  It is about being engaged and inspired by our immediate colleagues and gaining a lot of networking to boot!

And we even have raffle prizes too - how good is that.

What can you do?

You can come along to chat, listen, or meet new people. Or if you want to present you can sign up to do a 5 minute micro-presentation in a format of your choice. You do not have to present but please sign up or email and let us know if you are a willing talker or a lurker.

We have a representative from the Royal Society for Chemistry Heidi Dobbs telling us about and Judith Payne STEM Manager - Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes on how we support schools with STEM through the Stemnet contract and also the Crest Award Scheme which we manage in Leicestershire. Leaflets on these are available.

Telling Others

Please tell other science teachers about the event. If you've been to a TeachMeet before, aim to bring along someone who hasn't.

How to get there

The address is Loughborough High School, Burton Walks, LE11 2DU.

You can either park in the main carpark  and walk up or drive through the barrier (buzz for the High School and they will let you through) and park nearer to the High School. Note parking easier after 4:15 when school buses have left.

You are heading for red building 1 on the map where there are large glass double doors up a ramp/steps.

Tags and Twitter

Please use Twitter and other Social Media to publicise this event. We're going to use the tag #tmase - include that whenever your write or post anything about ASE Science TeachMeet.

Please sign up either to present, or simply be inspired, so that we know approximate numbers for refreshments. Don't be limited by the number of spaces in each section!
