We hope that this first ever Kent & Weald Geography teachmeet will be the start of something great; building networks and supporting each other. We are hoping that this will become a regular networking opportunity for Geography teachers in West Kent, East Sussex, East Surrey and South-East London. 

Part 1: a few short presentations (max 5mins) by lovely volunteers sharing your stories. E.g. Tackling the new GCSEs? Activities have you tried and tested? Great ideas for fieldwork? Subject knowledge updates? Learning outside the classroom? Embedding challenge and rigour? Anything - whether it was a great success or had some failure! Sharing is caring :-)

Part 2: Breakout time. An opportunity to discuss the new A level and GCSE specifications, and approaches to fieldwork and assessment. We hope that this will give you the chance to find out more about how other schools are approaching this change, perhaps giving a chance to discuss case studies, sources of subject knowledge, fieldwork options and so on.
