Coding.  Computational thinking.  Digital literacy.  Information technology.

The Computing curriculum has it all. But do our kids?
What are we doing – what can we do - to make this a subject for all our students?
Or do we need to?

Have your say.  Share your ideas. Tell us what you are doing.

Join the conversation.

Sign up here.

TeachMeet is an organised but informal meeting for teachers to share good practice, practical innovations and personal insights in teaching with technology.

Anyone can offer to give a presentation either Micro - 7 minutes, or Nano - 2 minutes. The presenters are decided at random on the night.

Or just come along and listen in.

1.  @caroljallen  Happy to do either 7 or 2 or listen :)

From the creators of Digitally Confident and Newcastle’s famous teachmeet #tmblakes14 we bring you an exciting informal learning and social event for educators across the world!

The Digitally Confident national CPD event takes place on Thursday 16th October 2014 and the pre conference evening event takes place on Wednesday 15th October 2014 from 7pm – late.

This informal social event takes place on the iconic Newcastle Quayside at Pitcher and Piano and is an opportunity for delegates (and those colleagues unable to attend on the day) and speakers to relax, have fun and participate in (or simply be part of the audience) an informal speakeasy style teachmeet where conference speakers and local teachers share their ideas and passion for teaching and learning.

What is Teachmeet ConnectED?

Our aim is to bring together educationalists from different spheres who will go on to work together.  We invite museum educators, teachers, entrepreneurs, students, academics and then stand back in the hope that collaborations will flourish.

We are back again after that quite magical summer's evening at Butser Ancient Farm.  We have chosen this second venue which is a museum, former home of the naturalist Gilbert White, and finally, it encompasses an active field studies centre.

We will hear from some speakers, have updates on ongoing projects which were conceived at our last event and we will make time for workshops / conversations.

Please join us.  It promises to be another special evening.
