Introducing UEL’s first ever TeachMeet, an event for teachers and trainee teachers focusing on effective teaching and learning across the curriculum and across the age ranges.

Learn something new, be amazed, amused and enthused.  This is an informal gathering of those curious about teaching and learning. Anyone can share great ideas they've trialled in their classrooms, ask questions or simply sign up to take part in learning conversations. 

Everyone is welcome to join in: teachers or trainee teachers from all types of schools or colleges, teaching all subjects and age groups.  The main aim of a TeachMeet is for teachers to hear ideas from each other and be inspired by colleagues, along with a whole bucket load of networking to boot! 

You can come along to do any of the following:

• listen and be inspired - Update - No places left for attendees only! 
  
• give a two minute nano-presentation 
• give a seven minute talk 

The presenters will be people like you, or you could be one of our presenters! Nothing frightening like a conference keynote, just you talking about an idea, an activity, a strategy you use that works and you are willing to share with others.

We will provide the food, you just need to bring a bottle, a can, a carton, a thermos or whatever's your favourite beverage/tipple!

Interested in presenting?

You can use whatever presentation format you want including PowerPoint, keynote, prezi, slide rocket, 280 slides, you could just talk, show something from the web, hold up a poster or you could sing a song! The important thing is that you get your message across and you will only get one minute set up time!

Be prepared for technical difficulties and be ready to wing it on the day! That’s what makes TeachMeet exciting!

Internet

We will also be trying to test Big Blue Button system. Fingers crossed it will work!

Please bring any presentations you want to use on a memory stick.
