Learn something new, be amazed, amused and enthused. This is an informal gathering of those curious about creative approaches to teaching and learning. Anyone can share great ideas they've trialled in their classrooms, ask important questions or simply sign up to take part in learning conversations.
TeachMeets are such a fantastic opportunity for teachers to get together and share ideas. They have often focused on the use of ICT in classrooms in the past and while this is clearly important, we'd like to try and broaden the spectrum a little for our TeachMeet. We'd like to encourage presentations on any creative ideas teachers have been trying out in our classrooms, whether they involve technology or not. This is why we've given our TeachMeet the 'creativeclassroomsedition' tag line.
This TeachMeet is currently being put together by a few volunteers (Kirsty Forbes, Colm Linnane, Candace Watermeyer, David Gimour & Fearghal Kelly). If you'd like to help out, please let us know.
If you wish to share your ideas with everyone, please sign up below, giving your name and a brief description of your subject.
Fearghal Kelly (@fkelly) I'm happy to do this, but don't mind if someone else wants to...?
Kirsty Forbes (@kirstyforbes) Happy to let you do it :) (although I will pop in at bits if needed!)

It is hoped that at least one person from each table will capture the workshop in the form of text, images, video or audio.

Please send any audio, video, images or text from the night to tmlothians11@posterous.com. This will then all be publicly available here: http://tmlothians11.posterous.com
Typically, after a TeachMeet a number of participants go out for dinner. Everyone is welcome, and for many it is as important a part of the evening as the Teachmeet.
It is expected that each person will pay for their own meal and drinks.
