TMADDCYM

Where?  When?
Fitzalan High School, Cardiff  5th October 2011 5pm-8pm

We are very grateful to the headteacher, staff, governors and learners of Fitzalan High School for acting as our hosts for this event.

Here is a poster please display it in your school or place of work: tmaddcymqr.pdf

What is addcym?

We are a group of educators based in Wales, or with an interest in the Welsh education system, who are harnessing new technologies to share ideas, spread good practice and collaborate to improve experiences and outcomes for learners in our own classrooms.  Anyone is welcome to get involved. Please see this other Wiki which has more information on addcym:  There will be a new website launching in September.

Every Tuesday between 8 and 9pm, people from across and beyond Wales use the hashtag #addcym on Twitter to share ideas on a particular topic. That topic is chosen by voting which takes place over the previous 7 days.

Please follow addcym on twitter @addcym

How does a TeachMeet work?

Teachers meet and talk about what they do in the classroom. People, sit and chat. They take notes or photos, make videos, tweet or just listen. Some people use technology to present. PowerPoint, Prezi, Keynote, Slide rocket, 280 slides and video are amongst the options. As is holding up a poster. Or singing a song.

This 5 minute video by Dughall McCormick (@Dughall) A TeachMeet enthusiast from Kirklees (Yorkshire + Humber) shares his views on 'What a TeachMeet is...'
