What is it?
A weekend TeachMeet away from it all for teachers to get together and share their thoughts and ideas for the way ahead for education and then communicate this with the world. By the end of the weekend we will have produced a video, or series of videos, on a number of the big issues in education.
Where is it?
Innerwick Residential Centre, East Lothian.
When is it?
Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th August 2012
What's the plan?
- Pre-TeachMeet: We'll be divided into a number of self-selected theme-based groups before arrival. Everyone will be asked to share something in advance to show their thoughts, and possibly the thoughts of their learners, on this theme - this could be anything, but video/images would be preferred as a source for the weekend.
- Saturday: Groups work separately on their video(s), with a sharing of draft ideas on the Saturday evening after dinner.
- Sunday morning: Video completion, reflection and departure.

Cost?
We are not looking for sponsorship for this event. Participants will be asked to pay approx. £40 to cover food and accommodation.

Catering?
The intention is that the fee would include the following on top of accommodation:
- Friday night = BBQ [basics from fee, could be supplemented with BYO]
- Saturday & Sunday Breakfast = Toast/Jams/Pastries/Fruit
- Saturday & Sunday Lunch = Bread/Spreads/Meats/Salad/Crisps/Fruit
- Saturday Dinner = Some sort of chili con carne type thing?
Any alcohol would be BYO.
