16.30-18.30

Kelvin Building

University of Glasgow

G12 8QQ

An informal and enjoyable gathering of those wishing to chat about science and the new curriculum, whilst sharing a glass of wine on the Glasgow Science Festival.

This event will bring together teachers and STEM Ambassadors (practicing scientists and engineers who volunteer time for school projects).

The event offers the opportunity to meet informally and discuss how Ambassadors can work effectively within a school.

When you sign up, you’ll be invited to volunteer to give a short talk (7 minutes or just 2 minutes) on something you’ve been doing or discovering in your science teaching, or simply turn up to soak up all the great ideas and enthusiasm!

Typically, after a TeachMeet a number of participants go out for dinner. Everyone is welcome, and for many it is as important a part of the evening as the Teachmeet.

It is expected that each person will pay for their own meal and drinks as it is unlikely that sponsorship will cover this cost.
