What is Interactive Whiteboard Teachmeet?

A Teachmeet is a gathering of people with an interest in teaching and learning. The aim of these events is to share ideas and best practice from classrooms and learning environments across the UK. IWB Teachmeet focusses on a specific need of teachers, which is to learn more about how to use the Interactive Whiteboards in their classrooms.

Whether you like interactive whiteboards or not, most teachers have one in their classrooms. Some teachers have been trained to use them and many teachers have great ideas for using their whiteboards, so at the Interactive Whiteboard Teachmeet is a chance to come together and share the skills and experience with others, making us all better whiteboard users.

How do I get involved?

There are a number of ways to get involved, and we think that the best way is to present something. If you have a presentation you want to present, you can choose to present either a 2 minute or a 7 minute slot by signing up below under the appropriate section, putting your name and subject. If you have a twitter name, feel free to add your twitter name too. On the night, we'll pick names at random. If you talk for too long a cuddy toy will be thrown at you (it's tradition!)

If you just want to watch that's fine too. To attend as a lurker, just add your name beneath the Enthusiastic lurkers heading below

What hardware will we have access to for presenting?

On the night we will have a SMARTboard with Smart Notebook 11 installed. We also have the ability to run Promethean ActivInspire presentations

All presentations will go out live via webex and will also be recorded and uploaded after the event
