TeachMeet Bradford

KRCS are the UK's longest established Apple Premium Reseller. They provide support and training for schools looking to introduce and develop the use of Apple products in the classroom. We are very pleased to have them as sponsors of our TeachMeet- they have kindly donated an AppleTV and IPod touch as prizes. To be in with a chance of winning one of these great prizes make sure you sign up to present or attend!

The iPad academy have kindly agreed to provide further support to our TeachMeet. The iPad academy works with schools and educators in using iPads in improving teaching and learning. They offer a range of courses from staff CPD to using iPads with students. More details can be found on their website here; http://www.ipadacademy.co.uk/ They will be presenting at the TeachMeet to showcase what they offer as well as offering the following prize;

Free 2 hour Consultation with the iPad Academy (worth £200)
This prize entitles your school to 2 hours of free consultation with a leading industry expert looking into your strategy of integrating the use of iPads and mobile technology into your teaching and learning. The session will be guided by you and the needs of your school so if you haven’t purchased iPads but are considering it in the future, or if your school already uses iPads on a day to day basis then this session will be tailored to help you identify weaknesses, strengths and how to move forward.

To be in with a chance of winning you just need to sign up below to present or watch, or e mail me at john.gillard@appletonacademy.co.uk to be added to the list.

What is it?

TMSBradford is a chance for educators from both primary and secondary backgrounds to meet and share ways they have innovated in the classroom. Presentations last either for 7 minutes or a 2 minute 'mini presentation.' Alternatively, you can just come along to watch and network with other teachers.

Where is it?

Appleton Academy, Woodside Rd, Wyke, Bradford, West Yorkshire BD12 8AL. Parking can be found at the front of the school. Please sign in at reception and there will be a member of staff or student guide to guide you to the event.

Why should I come?

Why not?! There will be presentations from a range of educators- including our sponsors KRCS and Debbie Kidd- who organised the recent petition on changes to the National Curriculum. There will also be refreshments during a break which will also give you a chance to discuss ideas and make links with colleagues and speak to presenters. There will also be the prize draw at the end of the evening when you could win a brand new AppleTV or IPod touch.

How do I get involved?

You can either sign up below, or send me an e mail at john.gillard@appletonacademy.co.uk and I will add you to the list.
