What is it?

It is a chance for teachers to hear ideas from each other and be inspired by colleagues, along with a whole bucket load of networking to boot! Learn something new, be amazed, amused and enthused.  This is an informal gathering of those curious about teaching and technology. Anyone can share great ideas they've trialed in their classrooms, ask important questions or simply sign up to take part in learning conversations.  Everyone is welcome to join in: teachers from all types of schools, teaching all subjects and age groups.  The main part of TeachMeet is hearing stories about teaching, or learning, from teachers.

How do I sign up?

Click on this link to the EventBrite page. Click register and then remember to put the date in your diary and the postcode in your Satnav.

Rules for this teachmeet

You can either do a 7 minute or 2 minute presentation. You can use whatever presentation format you want including PowerPoint, keynote, prezi, slideshare, Google slides, or you could just talk, show something from the web, hold up a poster or you could sing a song! You could even use an iPad.

The important thing is that you get your message across and you will only get one minute set up time.

Be prepared for technical difficulties and be ready to wing it on the day! That’s what makes Teachmeet exciting!

I don't just want to attend, I'd like to present too.

If that's you, you can either pop your name on the list in the Presenters section, by editing this wiki, or fill in this form so we can do it for you.

I would like to sponsor the event.

We don't need much, but ever since @lisibo left Birmingham, teachmeets here have lacked good quality cakes. So we need cakes. Or you could contribute prizes, goodie bags or even hard cash. If you would like to do that, use the form above, but tick what you would like to provide, or e-mail the organisers.

Here is the list of the presenters who will be speaking for 7 minutes.

And finally

If you can't make it to this one, make it to another teachmeet somewhere - they really are great. Here is the full list of upcoming teachmeets.

Even better, there's a Christmas themed Teachmeet over the East side of the city on 2nd December. Book here for #tmBrumAtXmas!
