Learn something new, be amazed, amused and enthused. This is an informal gathering of those curious about learning, teaching and education. Anyone can share great ideas they've trialled in their classrooms, learned about, ask important questions or simply sign up to take part in learning conversations.
Rebekah Hutton & Fiona Telfer
If you wish to share your ideas with everyone, please sign up below, giving your name and a brief description of your subject.
You can talk about anything that has inspired you, has worked well in class, a tool, a strategy, a topic... The list is endless.
The one rule here is no selling!
You do not have to present anything, you can always be an Enthusiastic Lurker!

Scran
There will also be a panel discussion with representatives from a variety of sectors. |
Confirmed Panel Members:
Amy Reid - Probationer and previous committee member of CPD Strathclyde.
Edward Sosu - Lecturer and researcher at University of Strathclyde. |
Matthew Boyle - Service Manager for Professional Learning, West Dumbartonshire & voice behind Inside Learning Podcasts.
Tom Hamilton - Director of Education and Professional Learning at General Teaching Council Scotland.
So post your questions for our panel:
1. 'Making Scotland the best place to grow up' is a current government slogan being employed to unite all those who work with children behind a common cause. I would like to ask the panel; do slogans such as these perpetuate a discourse and culture of competition in education and beyond? Should we not in fact be striving to ensure education (life) is equally good for all children regardless of (imaginary) boundaries?
2. What are the best examples that you have experienced, in Scotland or internationally, where schools are successfully addressing disadvantage? |
4. In terms of classroom practice, what do you think is needed to enable Scotland to move forward in education? |
5. How should a C.f.E look in the classroom? |
6. Do you think child centered, responsive planning is at odds with a C.f.E outcomes and need to show progression and depth?
