What is a TeachMeet?

A TeachMeet is an occasion when a group of people get together to share ideas they are using in the classroom and that they want to share with a wider audience.

Generally Teachmeets follow a structure where presentations are short, usually 2 or 7 minutes in length so that there can be lots of varied presentations. There are usually refreshments, a raffle and freebies to take away. The atmosphere is positive and enthusiastic.

How is this TeachMeet different?

We think this is the first TeachMeet for Teaching Assistants and HLTAs. Please come along if you are a TA or HLTA, or interested in supporting learning or working with those who do. You can sign up to make a 7 minute or a 2 minute presentation or you can come along and enjoy being in the audience.
