TM Design and Technology NTU 2014

At this TeachMeet primary and secondary D&T teachers are invited to take part in an international and national conversation about D&T. This is an informal gathering to share practical ideas, strategies, tools or topics that have been successful in teaching design and technology.

We will be joined by Associate Professor Todd Kelley, from Purdue College of Technology in Indiana, who will share his perspectives on design, STEM and sketching in American D&T education.

When and Where?

Date: Monday 10th November

Venue: Global Lounge, Goldsmith Street, City Campus, Nottingham Trent University

Tiime: 4.00-6.30

What can I do?

You can simply watch the presentations, get involved with the online discussion on Twitter using the hashtag, or present and share in either a 2 minute or 7 minute presentation.

We'd love you to give a 7 minute micro-presentation & 2 minute nano-presentation about a topic related to your design and technology teaching. If you are able to give a presentation about one of Todd's particular interests that would be fantastic! Todd has worked with elementary schools in America looking at how design skills are taught and assessed, the use of sketches and sketch books, 3D printing in D&T, and D&T as part of STEM.
