Surrey Teachmeet 2015 - By Teachers For Teachers

'Classroom Ideas to Engage Young People'

Free CPD and Networking - Thursday 8th October 2015 5-7pm

How it works

A Teachmeet is a group of teachers and educators that get together to share ideas.  These are ideas and initiatives that they have used either in the classroom or across a school that they want to share with a wider audience.

The Surrey Teachmeet follows some simple rules and the main one is that presentations are short, between two and seven minutes, and are based on the title 'Classroom Ideas to Engage Young People.' There will be a break half way through for refreshments and a chance to network.

Would I benefit?

Yes! The last Surrey Teachmeet was attended from colleagues working in Early Years right up to Key Stage 5! Feedback showed that all of the attendees found the event useful and worthwhile.

I would like to use a Powerpoint in my presentation....

Powerpoints or similar may be used and should be sent through to us in advance.  Further details on how to do this will be sent to you about 5 days before the event.

Do I have to do a presentation?

It is not a condition of attending that you present and you are welcome to just come along and watch if you don't feel brave enough!  However, the atmosphere will be a supportive one as people will be busy scribbling down your inspiring ideas and will be incredibly grateful for all of your practical suggestions that they can take away and use in their own classroom.

Where is the Teachermeet taking place?
