#YorkTU 2015

When?

Monday, 10th August 2015
10:15am to 5pm TweetUp and TeachMeet followed by evening social until late.

Where?

Day:  Science Education Building, Alcuin D, University of York, Heslington, York  YO10 5DD

Evening: Deramore Arms, Heslington , YO10 5EA 7.30 - late

What is #YorkTU?

The daytime event will be based on a Science TeachMeet. Anyone attending can do a short (5 to 10 minute maximum) presentation. This is informal and the subject matter can literally be anything you find interesting or pertinent and would like to share and discuss. If you would like to attend and just listen to speakers and meet other participants then that’s fine too.

The event will be a fun and relaxed opportunity for people to chat, share ideas and good practice with those curious about teaching and learning science. Anyone can share great ideas they've trialled, a resource they love, a great website or activity - whatever you like! You can ask questions or simply turn up to soak up all the great ideas and enthusiasm.

Refreshments:

Tea and coffee provided

**Bring and share lunch**

Travel

For details about getting to the University go to http://www.york.ac.uk/about/maps/. The bus service from the station is excellent - no need for a taxi.

If driving park in the North Car Park, near the NSLC and walk through to the Science Education Group which is located in Alcuin Block D, marked as A9 on this map http://www.york.ac.uk/media/abouttheuniversity/maps/heslington-west-map.pdf
