Following the very successful Peterborough EAL Strategy Conference in February, The EAL Academy invites Primary and Secondary teachers in all subject areas to a TeachMeet in the Assembly Hall at Ken Stimpson Community School. We hope that you will sign up for a ticket to listen, share ideas and learn from others on how to support the learning and progress of EAL Learners in mainstream classrooms.

The EAL Academy are delighted that Kamil Trzebiatowski, EAL Coordinator of Newland School for Girls in Hull will be with us to deliver a keynote presentation about partnership teaching. Kamil will be co delivering an EAL Academy CPD session on Partnership Teaching for Peterborough Learning in the summer term so this is an exciting opportunity for a sneak preview. 

There will be plenty of time to discuss and network informally - and sample delicious home made cake. You are welcome to join us from 3.45 for refreshments and viewing of the Ken Stimpson Community School Exhibition of Learning display. We anticipate that the TeachMeet will start at 4.15. 

You will be able to deliver either a 6 minute or 2 minute presentation on the topic of EAL in the Mainstream

• You must be a teacher, school leader or support staff in a classroom - EAL or mainstream.
• You cannot pitch any products for sale.
• You can use any presentation format you'd like; if you are using a digital presentation such as PowerPoint, please send your presentation before the event.

If you are not presenting, you are welcome to simply join us and listen. However, if you have an idea you would like to share but would prefer not to do a presentation then there will also be opportunities for informal table top 'show and tell' conversations.

Parking Information

Parking for Ken Stimpson School is available via the Werrington Centre, in the Tescos area in the far right hand corner of the car park.

We will try to have signs and guides in place to help you find your way to the school Assembly Hall. All ticket holders will be contacted with a mobile number for queries.
