Thursday 16 April 17:00 - 20:00

Harcourt Hill Campus

Botley - Oxford - OX2 9AT

Loads of parking available and easy access via the U1/U1X Bus

What is a TeachMeet?

A place to learn something new, be amazed, amused and enthused.

An informal gathering of those curious about creative approaches to enhance teaching and learning.

A place to share great ideas from your classrooms, ask important questions or simply to take part in learning conversations.

A starting point to new friendships, collaborations and exciting projects.

    Programme

17:00 Arrival, Networking, Demonstrations and Refreshments
17:45  Welcome and Presentations
18:45  Networking, Demonstrations and Refreshments
19:15  Presentations
19:50  Closing Remarks
20:00  Close

Teachmeet Oxon will be a traditional style Teachmeet where we will look to share teaching and learning ideas to take back to the classrooms to help Engage, Enthuse and Inspire our students.

There will be 2, or 7 minute presentations (with or without ICT).

In addition we will have Demonstration Tables  so that during the networking breaks you have an opportunity to try out some of the new equipment that is coming on to the market

It's the ideas that matter...

Don't be shy, these events are really supportive and it's a great way to share your favourite T&L methods.

Please sign up below if you would like to present or to demonstrate some equipment.

Presenters will be asked to present at random their 2, or 7 minute presentations. If you go on too long, you will get a cuddly toy thrown at you!

Thanks to our sponsors for supporting the event through prizes, promotions and gifts:

(want to offer sponsorship? - please see contact details at the bottom of this page)

So, your options are...

  • You can sign up to attend and be prepared to deliver a 7-minute micro presentation.
  • You can sign up to attend and be prepared to deliver a 2-minute nano presentation.
  • You can sign up to attend and demonstrate some equipment - for example MakeyMakey, Raspberry Pi .... it doesn't have to be techy but you do need to demonstrate how it can support learning.
  • You can sign up to attend...but you'll still be expected to join right in and share your thoughts and ideas.

If this sounds like this is right up your street then sign up with this Google Form - I will then fill in the programme below .
