TeachMeet Newcastle 7-5-15

Page history last edited by Ben Henderson 8 years, 6 months ago

What?

TeachMeet Newcastle is a very informal evening of teachers sharing with other teachers.  No keynotes, no sales pitches, no corporate formality. Just teachers, in a pub, sharing what works well in their classrooms with other interested teachers.

When?

Thursday 7th May 2015 7pm-9pm. (Make sure you vote before coming!)

Where?

The Upstairs Room, The Cumberland Arms, James Place St, Ouseburn, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. NE6 1LD.

How much?

FREE! (but bring money for the amazing range of beers, ales and ciders at The Cumberland!)

Who?

If you have anything to do with what goes on in a classroom on a day-to-day basis, this is for you. You might be a teacher, teaching assistant or SLT. If you work for a company that wants to use a TeachMeet to sell your services to school-based people, this isn't the sort of event for you. TeachMeet: by teachers, for teachers.

Sign Me Up!

You've made it this far down the page. Great! Now decide whether you want to share something that works well in your classroom, or whether you want to 'lurk.' The best TeachMeets have a good mix of sharers and lurkers.

If you want to share, you can do this in 2 ways: a nano presentation (2 minutes) or a regular presentation (7 minutes). There will be a computer and a projector available, but no wi-fi, so offline presentations only, please! (Need more info? Scroll to the bottom of this page for contact details.)

Sign up here if you want to share (scroll down if you want to lurk):
