What is TeachMeet?
TeachMeet is a unique gathering of teachers and education professionals to share inspirational ideas, techniques and resources. The main part of TeachMeet is hearing stories about learning, presented by teachers. It's a chance to learn from and share with real practitioners about their successes and experiences.
This TeachMeet is concentrating on Languages, whether it is ideas for engaging young children in discovering and appreciating the languages of the world, or developing a specific language. Primary, Secondary, or beyond, we are passionate about languages and want to create a melting pot of ideas for language lovers!
We will also be streaming this online so you can watch and join in via chat and twitter if you cannot make it.
What can you do?
You can come along to chat, meet new people, or give a seven minute micro presentation, a two minute nano presentation or just simply to come and be there and soak up all the inspirational ideas.
Presenting at TeachMeet is not scary, and anybody can present- you don't need to be an expert! People who present often say what a great and fun experience it was!
You can of course just attend a TeachMeet without presenting, and be there to soak up all the inspirational ideas shared by your immediate colleagues. However please consider presenting!
Presentation Rules
-
You can use whatever presentation format you want including PowerPoint, keynote, prezi, or just talk!
-
The important thing is that you get your message across and you will only get a short amount of set up time.
-
Be prepared for technical difficulties (although we'll do our best to prevent them!) and be ready to wing it! That’s what makes TeachMeet exciting!
-
If your examples are online please add links to your presentation (this will speed things up on the afternoon)
-
Remember you don't need to be an expert to speak!
-
