Thursday 15 October

Learning Rocks

What is a Teachmeet?

It is an informal and enjoyable gathering of those curious about teaching and learning. Anyone can share great ideas they've trialled in their classrooms, a teaching resource they love, a great website, a classroom activity - whatever you like! You can ask questions or simply turn up to soak up all the great ideas and enthusiasm. Even details of a lesson that you were proud of!

The main part of Teachmeet is hearing stories about learning, from teachers and other education professionals. This is a chance for education professionals to hear ideas from each other, a chance to hear real narratives of practice that makes a difference. It is about being engaged and inspired by our immediate colleagues and gaining a whole bucket load of networking to boot!

#ATLMidsTM

This is the Association of Teachers and Lecturers first TeachMeet in the Midlands and it promises to be a spectacular one!

Sign up here

This is a free CPD event open to all education professionals from across all teaching sectors, regardless of subject specialism.

In addition to the usual Teachmeet element we have 10 fabulous thirty minute workshops you can attend. Sign up here and choose your workshop.

Come along as either an enthusiastic audience member or maybe choose to present and share either a 2 minute Nano presentation or a 5 minute Micro presentation on a topic of your choice - no sales pitches, just great classroom ideas.

ATL's TeachMeet will be compered by the award-winning Mark Anderson @ICTEvangelist. Mark will also close the evening with an engaging and learning (yet fun) packed session looking at effective use of technology with ideas you'll be able to take away the next day and use in your classroom.

The keynote, 'Adventures in Learning' will be delivered by the inspirational Hywel Roberts. Hywel, author of the award-winning 'Oops - Helping children learn accidentally' will leave you not only hugely entertained but full of ideas that will: liberate you and your curriculum, help you to imagineer lessons that matter, employ healthy learning tension in your classroom and give ideas that will bring your children to the edge of their seats hungry for more.

If you would like to share in a 5 or 2 minute workshop, then please sign up to do so below.

Do not forget to sign up to present on the Eventbrite page and get your ticket!
